Resilient Agriculture that Works for Young People (RAY) Program

The Resilient Agriculture that works for young people Program, implemented by Practical Action, helps young people build sustainable and profitable livelihoods in agriculture and agribusiness. It addresses the challenge of limited opportunities, skills, and support for young people to succeed in farming as a viable business. The program supports young people by providing training in regenerative agriculture and agribusiness, peer-to-peer mentorship, and guidance on business development, market access, and finance. Participants also gain exposure to different agricultural value chains such as poultry, vegetables, tomatoes, groundnuts, and soya beans. The key benefits include practical farming and business skills, mentorship from experienced agripreneurs, improved access to markets and finance, and opportunities to start or grow successful agribusinesses while promoting agriculture as a rewarding career.
