ABOUT THE PROGRAM
This program seeks to help farmers adopt better agricultural practices to improve their income. It has established demonstration farms that local farmers can visit to get important skills and information on agricultural technologies, services and innovations that help them increase their income from farming and other agricultural activities.
Some of the activities under the program include:
- Training – establishing demonstration farms that are accessible to the local farmers to provide relevant skills, technologies, agricultural services and innovations, to help them increase their income.
- Supporting young people to establish businesses in poultry farming and other related activities.
- Partnering with other players in the agricultural sector, including the county government, to support young people make better incomes from agriculture.
The program started in May 2023 and is ongoing.
WHO QUALIFIES?
The program is open to young women and men (aged 18-35 years) with a passion for success in Seme and Kisumu West sub-counties of Kisumu County.

The program is operating in the Seme and Kisumu West sub-counties of Kisumu County.
ABOUT THE IMPLEMENTATION PARTNER
Dic Dic Agrocare is a registered business operating an agricultural input store in Kisumu County, Seme Sub-County, at Kombewa market. Its Vision is ‘A Farming community that embraces innovations for health and prosperity in Kenya’, while its Mission is ‘Training in enterprise development, agri nutrition, and sustainable agriculture. Its key work is to promote and create awareness among the farming community, especially youth and women, on innovations, better production systems, and agribusiness approaches to income generation.
